Ceramic Sculpture, hand burnhised, carved with 'Mayan' design, hand burnished, low fired with hair and sawdust
I love the blue tinting on the carved area here... it gives it such a nice contrast. And the overall form here is lovely as well! My favorite of your so far, I think. : )
I simply love the blue tinting on the carved section here, it adds a nice contrast to the body. And the overall form is lovely as well! Sweeping and graceful. My favorite on yours so far, I think think! : )
Not only am I blown away by the carvings, but I absolutely love what the sawdust and hair add to the piece. I'm no sculptor--so, to me, the use of such simple things to create such an astounding visual effect is a stroke of brilliance, and strong resourcefulness. I love this piece.
